No – both eyes need to be open during the measurement process. Please use the occlude to cover the other eye. (MAKE SURE BOTH EYES ARE OPEN)
No – This device needs to be use under a lighted condition. It can be in a lighted room or outside if it’s bright
Stop the image in the middle (E) first becomes clear, do not hesitate, do not rotate up and down again
  • Make sure the measurement is performed in the lighted area
  • Remind patient to stop when the image FIRST becomes clear
  • Make sure the device is held horizontally straight at the patient’s eye level
  • Make sure hands are not covering up the device, preventing lights to get in Make sure to perform at least 3 times to get an average
  • Clean the lens near the eye piece – in case of fingerprints

Do not touch the optical parts with fingers, clean the parts with a soft cloth. Parts in contact with users must be cleaned and disinfected ethanol of disinfectant wipes for medical use between each usage.
